Saaremaa

Yes, we did a lot! Also visited the beautiful island of Saaremaa, Estonia's biggest isle! Just some photos to give a short impression...

Sheeps - seemed to be the national symbol of Saaremaa? Julie of course, most crazy french I've ever met:

Campfire: after a long day of walking and bustours, chillin' at the campfire... And the party was complete with of course some vodka and marshmellows.

And, last but certainly not least, also Saaremaa has a very real Dutch windmill...

Tartu and South Estonia!

As promised - some photos of the trip to Tartu, Estonia's student city! One big, great, exciting trip. By far the best weekend till now. Tartu is a one very cute city, but for me it's to small, sovery happy to stay in Tallinn. Some impressions of Tartu... (click on the photo's to see them in a bigger size!)

Of course, we also climbed the highest mountain of whole Estonia... Not that it is that big, but it is still a mountain! You knew that they have one word here (in Estonian language) for both Hill and Mountain? They consider the Vaalserberg of the same category as Mount Everest... Anyway, this is the beautiful view

So, this was the short impression of Tartu... soon will put some movie here, of a fantastic canoeing trip... maybe... if google video works.. you know... anyway... Ciao!

eindelijk is het dan zover - een nieuwe post op mijn blog, die zich toch wel een beetje eenzaam heb gevonden. Maar vreest niet, de reden voor de lange stilte bevat louter goed nieuws!

Na anderhalve maand hier in Estonia eindelijk weer een beetje met beide benen op de grond. Na anderhalve maand is het festijn van liters bier, wijn, kahlua en vodka, 6 feestjes per week en heerlijk bakken op het strand veranderd in een meer dagelijks leven... Oftewel; college volgen, etentjes organiseren, boeken lezen en kleding wassen.

Is natuurlijk vanalles gebeurd, dat begrijpen jullie wel. Eerst naar Tartu (de studentenstad van Estland) en Zuid-Estland geweest, wat een geweldig weekend was. Het weekend erop een heerlijk weekendje uitwaaien op Saaremaa, het grootste eiland van Estland met een echte Hollandse windmolen!

Dus, bij de volgende posts wat fotos en dergelijke...

En wees lief en laat een berichtje achter voor deze hollander in estland, altijd leuk om wat van het hollandse front te horen!!!
